It is shocking how little we know about our deep oceans – our ignorance is so great that we do not understand what damage we are doing or what steps need to be taken to do better. We need timely data on the geography and biodiversity of the entire ocean.

Founded by two PhD engineers, we aim to deploy a global fleet of 20,000 AUVs to survey the entire seafloor - every square meter - in less than a decade. This award would support the completion of our prototype AUV to demonstrate that we can scalably and cost-effectively explore the deep ocean.
