Free Oceanic Libray

Manal Moukaddem/Kogia

The accessibility of high-quality marine media (due to high costs and licensing difficulties) and the underrepresentation of Indigenous and local voices in conservation and nature storytelling

Kogia exists to remove the barriers that prevent frontline conservationists, scientists, and local storytellers from effectively communicating their work. Through our free Oceanic Library, we equip them with high-quality oceanic media that would otherwise be out of reach. We also empower emerging, local voices through our fellowship program. By offering mentorship, professional-grade gear, and distribution support, the fellowship helps local and underrepresented storytellers share authentic conservation narratives from their own ecosystems, shifting who tells nature stories, and how they're told.
